ULTRA-FLO

For decades oil wells in East Texas and throughout most of the world have been produced by Beam Pumps (called “pump jacks”, “sucker rod pumps”, “head nodders”, etc.,) For many years there has been little change or improvement in this type of artificial lift method. When combining a high pressure, high volume diaphram pump and JJ Tech’s patented jet pump the results can be amazing.

In late February of 2005, near Gladewater, Texas, ULTRA-FLO, a new system to produce oil wells was born. The ULTRA-FLO Production System, (patent pending) combines a highly efficient patented down hole jet pump with a surface mounted diaphragm pump. The diaphragm pump, power plant, electric control panel and all valves, hoses, flow meters and controls are mounted on one compact 4 feet wide by 14 feet long skid.

Absence of sucker rods in the ULTRA-FLO System diminishes maintenance and wear on the production tubing and sucker rods. Thereby avoiding costly shut downs for remedial action and the resulting loss of production. In the rare instance that the down hole pump needs to be retrieved it can be circulated to the surface by reversing the flow from the tubing to the casing annulus. Retrieval of a down hole jet pump from a Woodbine formation well (3500 ft), inspecting the parts, and reinstalling the pump carrier takes less than one hour.
